Welcome to the Give2Swim Website

This website is designed to allow swimmers to easily generate and maintain a webpage for donation campaigns for the causes supported by the open swim sponsor.

Swimmers - Go to your account to register with a Swimmer Membership.  After you have done this, you can then create a webpage to begin your donation campaign.  A small donation of $10 goes to the Friends of the Shenandoah River in order to sign up for a Swimmer Membership (so... you give up 2 cups of Starbucks... it's worth it!).

Donors - Thank you for visiting this site.  Once you have gone to the "Fund Raisers" tab (see above),  you can find your swimmer and make the donation(s) to their swim(s).  AGAIN, THANK YOU!

Hello Friends & Family! June 2nd, I will be swimming the 7.5 miles across the Potomac River again! Wooohoo!! I've been training hard, and am very excited! My awesome brothers, Chris and Sean, will be my kayak escorts again, which will be awesome! However, I do need your help! Each swimmer must raise $250 in pledges which will go towards several foundations that support the health of the Potomac River! Any help you can offer is great! Thank you so much!! -Katie
Hello, friends. This year I will once again be attempting to finish the 7.5 mile Potomac River swim. This event raises money for the preservation of our beloved waters around Piney Point and the Chesapeake Bay region. Anyone who has been lucky enough to spend a day on the Bay will understand why this treasure needs to be saved. For anyone who has ever seen me in a bathing suit, it’s worth the donation to watch the horror on the little children’s faces as I emerge from the deep. So unless you want to “accidently” receive pictures of me in my speedo, please give generously.
I must collect & submit a Minimum of $300+ by 6/30/011 to be qualified to receive an early bird mailing for pre-entry into the Great Chesapeake Bay Swim 2012.   This pledge program is a separate process from entry fees and entry rules.    Everyone who submits a minimum of $300+ in pledge funds will still be required to pay the 4.4 Entry fee of $250. By meeting this program requirement you are guaranteed an early bird entry-form mailing for a 4.4 swim entry slot.  The Early Bird Entry Form is mailed (to all who qualified through this program PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE ON-LINE LOTTERY, BY-PASSING THE ENTIRE LOTTERY PROCESS.   More information about the event can be found at: https://www.lin-mark.com/RaceDetails.aspx?guid=fdfd6026-1f53-4c9f-bb22-4be249b06ed0
